William David Reddick

William David Reddick, age 85 of Talihina, Oklahoma went to his heavenly home on February 22nd, 2025. Dave was born on May 1st, 1939 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Lillian (Murray) and Robert Reddick. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. On January 3rd, 1958, Dave married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Sanderlin and they began their life journey together. Dave worked as a PSO serviceman and he loved his job, he often would hope there would be an outage somewhere so he would be able to go out and fix it. He took pride in working for the public. He also served on the Talihina School Board for many years. If you knew Dave, you talked to him as he enjoyed visiting with everyone he could, he never met a stranger. He was passionate about gardening, year round he had an amazing garden. Also hunting and sports were some of his favorite past-times. He never missed a game that his children or grandchildren were playing in, up until his health would not let him go. Dave was a devoted and caring husband, he took care of Carolyn in every way until her passing. Dave loved his family, his community, and his Lord. He was a proud and faithful servant to Christ. Serving as a deacon of the First Baptist Church, he led by example in his following and teaching of the word. Dave left a mark on everyone that knew him and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Dave is survived by his son, Mike Reddick and wife Lori; daughter, Michelle Williams; grandchildren, Jonea Hawkins and husband Jarred, Lauren Rose and husband Jerod, Alyssa Reddick and Ryan Reddick and Alli Jackson; great grandchildren, Blakely Rose, Jameson Hawkins, Parker Rose, Johnna Hawkins, Mason Reddick; brother, Ken Reddick; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Dave is preceded in passing by his parents, Robert and Lillian Reddick; wife, Carolyn; sister, Peggy Ellig; brother, Ben Kirby; son in law, John Allen Williams. Pallbearers are Ryan Reddick, Jarred Hawkins, Jerod Rose, Mark Sipe, Kyle Ellig, Destry Holiman Honorary Pallbearers are Curly King, Ray Henson, Bill Timmons, Vern Hunter, Mike Walden Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 26th, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services will be on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church of Talihina with Bro. Mark Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the New Talihina City Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
