VON ERIC LEMAY

Von Eric LeMay was born on October 30th, 1950 in Quincey, Illinois to Elsie and David LeMay. Upon graduating from Whitesboro High School in 1968, he attended Eastern Oklahoma State College for almost 2 years. He then pursued his true passion, which was being on a dozer. He received his first dozer at the age of 12 and never looked back. He loved hunting of all kinds and you never saw him without his camouflage. He truly enjoyed turkey hunting as well as deer hunting. However, the past few years he would just go to sit, watch, and count the deer, as counting instead of killing deer became his new passion. Though he turned it around these past few years, he will always be known as Poacher. Eric married Linda Sue Barron on June 19th, 1970 in Whitesboro, Oklahoma. Together they built a wonderful life filled with love and had 3 children, Eric Wayne, Steven, and Amanda. Eric always worked hard to make sure that his family never did without. Eric's family always knew that he would be there for them, to support and encourage them. He was always the first to stand up for his wife and kids, no matter what. He was a true example of what a loving and devoted husband and father was. Eric left this life on November 4, 2020 with his wife, Sue, holding his hand just like the day they began their life together. Eric is survived by his wife, Sue, of the home; his children, Eric Wayne LeMay of Whitesboro, Steven LeMay and wife, Allayna of Whitesboro, and daughter, Amanda Daniels and husband, Bryan of Bartlesville; sister, Linda Fowler of Summerville, South Carolina; stepmother, Maxine LeMay of Talihina, OK, As well as his grandchildren, Walker LeMay, Erika LeMay, Lizzie LeMay, CJ Dean, Tucker LeMay, Tayton LeMay, Talon LeMay, Laiken LeMay, Seth Storey, Emily Storey, and Brydyn Daniels. He leaves behind 2 great grandchildren, Blakely LeMay and Koi Dean and another great grandchild arriving in June 2021. He is also survived by nephews, Micheal and Loyd Nabors of Summerville, South Carolina. Pallbearers will be Eric Wayne LeMay, Steven LeMay, Ronnie Barron, Walker LeMay, CJ Dean, Tucker LeMay, Tayton LeMay, Talon LeMay, Seth Storey, & Bryan Daniels. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9th, 2020 at the Whitesboro Cemetery. He will be buried next to his momma under a big oak tree at the Whitesboro Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
