Tony Scarberry

Tony Scarberry was born on June 22nd, 1934 in Nashoba, Oklahoma to Martha (Cossey) and Lewis Scarberry. Tony passed away from this life on November 13th, 2020 at his home in Talihina, Oklahoma with his family by his side. Tony was a hard working man, working in Anderson and Scarberry construction most of his life for various companies, Keece Construction, Zuke Construction, Haskel Lemons Construction, but also some as a logger, driving a log truck for Lovett Logging and cutting logs for Scarberry Logging. He worked in California for a short while before moving back to Oklahoma. In 1953, he married Jewel Ray and they had three children, Jack, Julie and Faye. Later in life, he married Patricia Norten of Ada, Oklahoma and together they had one son, Brent. They lived in Rose Dale and raised cattle. He enjoyed gardening, camping, flowers and going fishing. After Patricia's passing, he married Rosemary Petty of Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma in 2013. They made their home in Talihina, Oklahoma. Together they enjoyed their hobbies, fishing, camping and spending time with family. Tony is survived by his wife, Rosemary of the home; children, Jack and wife Brenda Scarberry of Dell City, OK, Julie Robson of Clayton, OK, Faye Scarberry of Rose Dale, OK; step-daughter, Katie Petty and Blake Johnico of Talihina, OK; step-son, Henry and wife Melinda Bailey of Clayton, OK; step-daughter, Brenda Raymond of Michigan; step-son, Jimmy and wife Lisa Bailey of Madil, OK; grandchildren, Andy and Paula Panell, Shanon and Kevin Carter, Shonda Scarberry, Jimmy Robson, Melinda Bailey, Nikkie Riggle, Cody Riggle, Jason Scofield, Randi Hollaman, Lane Hollaman, Clancy Scarberry, Patricia Scarberry; step grandchildren, Landon Davis, Stephanie Raymond, Mary Raymond, and Lottie Raymond; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great gandchild; one sister, Mamie Joe Anderson; one brother, Kennith and Nora Scarberry as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Martha Scarberry; son, Brent Scarberry; brother and sister-in-law, M.L. and Marie Scarberry; brother and sister-in-law, Bessie and Marron Wallace; brother and sister-in-law, L.J. and Eulita Scarberry; sister, Whonda Sisk; brother-in-law, Charles Anderson; sister-in-law, Billlie Sue Scarberry; son-in-law, Randy Robson, and wives, Jewel Scarberry and Patricia Scarberry. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 18th, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be on Thursday, November 19th, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Rose Dale Cemetery in Rose Dale, Oklahoma with Bro. Richard Atzbach officiating. Services are under the direction of McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
