Timothy Wilcox

Timothy Wayne Wilcox, an avid outdoorsman and family man, passed away peacefully at his Talihina home on September 16th, 2023 at the age of 73. Tim was born on September 18, 1949, in McAlester, OK. Tim was a part of the United States Navy before he received an honorary discharge. He spent most of his life working hard as a safety inspector on various pipelines across the country along with being a police officer for the city of Talihina for a couple of years. Tim was a member of the Talihina Assembly of God church and loved the Lord with his whole heart. He was also a member of the Talihina Masonic Lodge, McAlester Scottish Rite, Pipeliners Local 798 Union, and Eastern Star Aichihoyo #104. Tim's favorite past-times included doing anything that involved the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Family was most important to him and he loved his wife, each of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends along with his dog Turbo. His love for people was made evident in the way that everyone called him "papa Tim." Tim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Wilcox of the home; two sons, Justin Wilcox and Tina of Haworth, OK, Shawn Wilcox of Talihina, OK; one daughter, Pam Eaves and Mike of Lane, OK; 15 grandchildren, Brianna, Colby, Morgan, Chance, Gunner, Alexis, Skylar, Fade, Halie, Ash, Kiefer, Dakota, Chad, RJ, Zayleigh; 17 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Alethea, Cannon, Colson to arrive in November, another baby to arrive in February, Lukka, Shakota, Greyson, Drew, Dedo, Kodi, Michael, Kinlee, KJ, Karlee, Nate, Jacey; three bonus-grandchildren, Shannon, Spike, and Matt; 4 great-great grandchildren, Stoney, Della, Hayzeleigh, Kasen; two brothers, Keith Wilcox and Twyla of Talihina, OK, Donnie Wilcox and Dusti of Red Oak, OK; two sisters, Cheryl Armstrong of San Antonio, TX, and Tina Costanza and Mark of Antioch, CA; niece Cheyenne Bushman and great-niece Kiera Bushman, both of Talihina, OK; sister in law, Karen Fonville. Special loved ones; Randy, Casey, Brody, and Briley Hall, James and Wanda Thomas, Niya Crims. Tim is preceded in passing by his parents, Jack and Lahoma Wilcox, Joe and Shirley Boyd; brothers, Jackie Wilcox and "baby boy Wilcox"; son, Ronnie Wilcox; daughter in law Lisa; mother and father in law, George and Christine McIntosh; brothers in law, Tommy McIntosh and Terrell McIntosh; sister in law, Phyliss Bushman; nephew, Darrell McIntosh; as well as a host of coworkers that were dear friends. Pallbearers; Chance Wilcox, Gunner Wilcox, Scotty Walker, Colby Workman, Marlin Thomas, Mike Eaves, Spike Eaves, Michael Eaves, Matt Eaves, and Shannon Crowe. Honorary Pallbearers; Gary Reamy, James Thomas, Luke Rainwater, Roy Rainwater, John Chancellor, Men of the Talihina First Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19th,2023 from 4:00Pm to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2:00PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Talihina, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at New Tallihina Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Services of Talihina, Oklahoma.
