Tia Lynn Sipe

Tia Lynn (Bryant) Sipe, born on October 29, 1965, in McAlester, Oklahoma, passed peacefully to her eternal resting place on April 17, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tia is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, David Sipe of the home; her mother, Lana Stone of the home; and her beloved children: Matthew Bryant & Olivia of McAlester; Nathan Sipe & DeAmber of Caddo Mills, TX; Scotty Sipe of Celeste, TX; and Chad Sipe of Valliant, OK. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Bryant & Teresa of Oklahoma City; nephews, Dusty Bryant & Stephanie of Choctaw, OK, and Josh Bryant & Rheana of Tuttle, OK. Tia was a proud and adoring Nana to her grandchildren: Bentlee, Stetson, Oaklynn, and Kimber Bryant of McAlester, OK; Blain, Riggin, and Nathaniel Sipe of Caddo Mills, TX; Chloe Bishop of Valliant, OK; and Elon, Eli, and Landon Sipe of Valliant, OK. She was also loved by her great-nieces and nephews: Colton, Briley, and Lyric of Choctaw, OK; and Raylee, Jagger, Jolee, and Raygen of Tuttle, OK. She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Billy and Carol Bryant; her paternal grandparents, Joe and Geraldine Bryant; maternal grandparents, Dewey and Evelyn Stone; and her beloved goddaughter, Nicolette "Paige" Barton. Tia was of the Presbyterian faith. She grew up in Talihina, OK, and graduated from Talihina Public School in 1983. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton in 1985. That same year, she began her distinguished career at the Choctaw Nation Hospital in Talihina, starting in Medical Records and quickly advancing to Administrative Assistant, and later, Administrative Secretary. Over her 26-year career, she served under seven different leaderships and was also the secretary for the Hospital Governing Board. Her dedication and excellent work ethic earned her the Indian Health Service Area Director's Excellence Award in 2007. In 2009, Tia's change in career paths led her to become the Patient Advocate at the hospital, where her empathy and deep compassion helped her shine in this position for over a year. She later transitioned to the role of Grant Coordinator for Health, a position she held until her retirement in 2011. Tia was proud of her Choctaw heritage and was honored to represent her tribe wherever she went. She loved to volunteer at the Choctaw Community Center, was a member of the District 3 Choctaw Choir, and loved attending the weekly luncheons at the District 3 Community Center. She was also on the chair volleyball team, often volunteered her time for fundraisers at the Center, and cherished going on trips with the group. Tia grew up with a love for dirt track racing and that love was passed down to her grandchildren, who are flourishing in competitive go kart racing. She also had a gift of decorating. She could take anything and make it beautiful, which is evident in her home decor. Tia enjoyed creating keepsakes for her loved ones. With many things from cookbooks to diamond art, all of which will be cherished for generations because they were made with her love. Above all, Tia was most proud of her family. She absolutely loved being a Nana and was her grandchildren's biggest fan - never missing a game or event, always cheering the loudest. Tia had a servant's heart, always putting others before herself and offering help to anyone in need. She was there to brighten everyone's day, lighten their load, and help carry their burden. Her bright smile, kind spirit, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bryant, Jimmy Bryant, Dusty Bryant, Josh Bryant, Andrew "Peaches" Wade, and Curtis Anderson Honorary Pallbearers will be Stetson Bryant, Rocky King, Bailey Zachary, Mikey Melton, Chuck Pace, Nathan Sipe, Blain Sipe, and Riggin Sipe Visitation will be on Monday April 21 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service. Services will be on Tuesday April 22, 2025 at 2:00PM at Faith Pentecostal Church in Talihina with Bro. Kenny Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at New City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
