Rodge Sisk

Rodge Wallace Sisk of Falfa, OK passed from this life on August 5th, 2020 at the age of 85. He was born on July 15th, 1935 at Cliebt, OK to Oda Sisk and Francis Mae (Medders) Sisk. Rodge married the love of his life, Joyce Elaine (Rhodes) Sisk on March 21, 1955. They had three children, Rodney, Linda and Carl. Rodge gave his heart and life to the Lord when he was about 15 years old, he was a good and faithful servant. He was a member of the Talihina Assembly of God Church. Rodge graduated from Buffalo Valley High School in 1953 and went to work at the TB Hospital in Talihina, then moved his family to Fort Worth, TX and worked as a surveyor and then worked for Lennox air conditioning before he moved his family back to Hartshorne, OK to work for Morton Foods as a distributor, before he bought the Falfa gas station and grocery store and moved his family back full circle to his home town where he was raised. He owned and operated the Falfa station and store and ran the school bus for Buffalo Valley for 27 years as a side job for mechanic and paint and body work along with multiple other side jobs before he semi-retired in 1995. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oda and Mae Sisk; son, Rodney Sisk; grandson, Janson Sisk; great grandson, Maximus Petty; sister, Alta Fitzgerald; father and mother in law, Earl and Jessie Rhodes; brothers in law, Raymond Rhodes and Alva Fite. Rodge is survived by his wife of the home, two children, Linda and John Stepp of Falfa, and Carl and Christy Sisk of Falfa; ten grandchildren, LaTricia Adler, Charlotte Holland, Rebecca Glen, Travis Petty, Jason Sisk, Kurtis Petty, Tara Sisk, Tori Sisk, T.C. Byous, and Callie Byous; twelve great grandchildren with two great great grandchildren on the way; brothers, Oda Roy and Nadine Sisk of Falfa, Jerry and Laverne Sisk of Whitesboro and sister in law, Delores Fite of Hartshorne; brother in law, Wayne and Delorse Rhodes of MO, and Harry Fitzgerald of Whitesboro, and a whole host of nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 9th, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be on Monday, August 10th, 2020 at 10:00 AM at New Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma with Bro. John Stepp officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina.
