Ralph Donald Anderson

September 19, 1935 - January 22, 2022

Ralph Donald Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK was born in Talihina, Oklahoma on September 19th, 1935 to Curtis and Gladys Anderson. He passed away on January 22nd, 2022 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 86. Ralph was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force and 30 years working for Indian Health Service. He loved watching basketball and football. Ralph was a big fan of O.U. Sooners as well as a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and OKC Thunder. He himself was a great athlete in high school. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed watching them play sports. Ralph is survived by his wife of 62 years, Chavela Anderson; six sons, Donnie Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, Curtis Anderson of Las Vegas, NV, Jeremy Anderson and wife Gail of Broken Arrow, OK, Tommy Atchley of Westville, OK, Wayne Atchley of McLoud, OK, Steve Atchley of Kansas, OK; two daughters, Donna Newton and husband Donnie of Oklahoma City, OK and Mona Farris and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, OK; twenty eight grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brother in laws; six sister in laws as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Ralph is preceded in passing by his parents, Curtis and Gladys Anderson; one grandson, Scotty Boulton; three brothers, Floyd, Robert, and Lloyd; one sister, Barbara Curnutt. Services will be on Friday, January 28th, 2022 at 12:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Talihina, Oklahoma with Bro. Mark Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
