Lanora Jean Fry

Lanora Jean Fry passed away on Nov 29,2020 in Paris, Tx. She was born on January 28, 1935 to Prince and Ora Lee (Claborn) Baker. She attended school in Talihina, OK. She then married her husband, Joe Fry in Hugo, Ok on October 10,1953. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Talihina TB Hospital and later the Talihina Veteran's Center. She was of the Baptist faith and attended church faithfully on Sunday mornings by way of live broadcast on tv. Her favorites include Charles Stanley, Power of the Word, Robert Jefferson, Robert Morris, Jack Graham and First Baptist Church of Ft. Smith. Her hobbies were babysitting and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved going to any sport/school function that involved her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and spending time with family and friends. Lanora is survived by her daughter, Sherry Haynes of Talihina, OK; son, Jeff Fry of Braggs, OK; daughter in law, Linda Fry of Talihina, OK; grandchildren, Rachael and Joe Don Daney of Talihina, OK, Bayler and Jennifer Fry of Tulsa, OK, Ragan Fry and fiance Brandon Downey of Muskogee, OK, Angie and Chris Glendening of Durant, OK, and Shayla Summerfield of Talihina, OK; step grandchildren, Stephanie Evans, Stephen Summerfield, Jeremiah Summerfield all of Jay, OK; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Kailee, Ethan and Eli Daney, Ellison Downey, Greyson Fry, Sabra and Kyler Clark, Danielle, Hunter and Fischer Glendening; step great-grandchildren, Stetson Summerfield, Peyton and Miah Summerfield, Bridgette,Brendon and Seth Summerfield; one sister, Glynda Anderson of Mustang, OK; sisters-in-law, Betty Smith of Shawnee, OK and Sue Worsham of Tom Bean, TX and Arlene Fry of Whitesboro, OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Fry; one son, Dan Fry; brothers, Lawton and Rannie Baker; and sisters, Wanda Carr and Katherine Pettigrue. Pallbearers will be Lance Winlock, Kyle Winlock, Billy Smith, Cory Traylor and Kelly Gravitt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Smith, Brian Smith, Rodney Fry, Bruce Fry, Terry Fry, Ronnie Blake, Waylon Fry and Todd Fry Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the New Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma with Bro. Carol Fitzgerald officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
