LaVerne Arlene Morrison, age 91 of Clayton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on August 28th, 2020. LaVerne was born on March, 22nd, 1929 in Arkansas to Beulah (Stephens) and Coy McDonald. She was an artist and enjoyed gardening. She was a true homemaker, a loving mother and her children were her masterpiece. LaVerne and her smile and laughter will be missed by all whom knew her. LaVerne is survived by her children, Johnny Morrison of South Carolina, Jimmy Morrison of Clayton, OK, Jeffery Morrison of Clayton, OK, and Sandra Morrison of Clayton, OK; sister, Dorothea Welsh of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. LaVerne is preceded in passing by her husband, James Morrison; parents, Beulah and Coy McDonald; brothers, Buddy, Oren and Norvell; sister, Betty Gilmore; and grandchildren, Justin Morrison and James Wesley Morrison. Visitation will be on Friday, September 4th, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be on Saturday, September 5th, 2020 at 10:00 AM at AL Stephens Cemetery in Clayton, Oklahoma with Bro. Gary Fuller officiating.
