Dorothy Nell Gann

June 12, 1933 - November 21, 2019

Dorothy Nell Gann was born on June 12th, 1933 to Nellie Mae Swafford and Marvin Guy Steele in Lutie Oklahoma. She was a music teacher for thirty-two years and loved teaching. She played the piano, amongst many other instruments, loved to sing, and enjoyed sewing and crafts. Dorothy was a devote member of the Talihina Assembly of God Church. Dorothy went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21st 2019. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Sharon Burnett of Talihina, OK, and Shelia Strange and husband Mike of Talihina, Ok; sons, Curtis Gann of Haskel, OK, and Joyce Gann of Mounds, OK, and Duane Gann and wife Debbie of Mounds, OK; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; sister, Jessie Pugh Vanderberg of New Castle, OK, and many nieces, nephews, friends and former students. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gann, one sister, and three brothers. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Casey, Dustin, Ethan, Jeffrey, Jake, Randy, Trenton, and Christian. Visitation will be on Monday, November 25th, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm at McCarn Funeral Home in Talihina. Services will be on Tuesday, November 26th, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Talihina Assembly of God Church with Bro. Alan Pugh and Gary McCutchin officiating. Interment will follow at the Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro, Oklahoma. Services are entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
