Shirley Ann Trejo

Shirley Anne Trejo, age 52 of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away from this life on March 22nd, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shirley was born on August 3rd, 1971 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Mary Lou (James) and Norman Meashintubby Jr. Shirley loved spending time with family and friends. She loved playing bingo, watching her grandkids play sports and taking them to McDonald's on payday and driving around. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Shirley's tv shows were Walker Texas Ranger ( you could hear her arguing with Walker's wife ALex), and Chicago Fire. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Talihina. Shirley liked going to Talihina High School basketball or football games cheering on the Tigers. She worked for Choctaw Nation Men's Recovery center for 17 years. During a family get-together, you could hear Shirley and Sherry arguing about food, or one of them telling each other, "Hey , you need to drink more water, less pop" Shirley always had to have the last word. Her famous words...You Shut Up. Shirley is survived by her son, Kyle Meashintubby of Talihina; brothers, Norval Meashintubby and wife Delessa of Eugene, OR, Neville Meashintubby and wife Alicia of Talihina, and Archie Meashintubby of Talihina; sister, Sherry Meashintubby and companion of Talihina; grandkids, Neela Meashintubby, Kamron Meashintubby, Kai Meashintubby, Nathan Anderson; nieces, Anissa Meashintubby, Melanie, Meashintubby, Davida Camillo, Dalida Ball, Deidra Meashintubby, special niece, Jalonda Balderas (Stink), Leticia Young, Marisela Sotelo; nephews, Brandon Meashintubby, Nakoma Meashintubby, Neville Meashintubby Jr., Nehemiah Meashintubby, Brian Young, Mondo Sotelo, Norris Meashintubby Jr.; great nieces, Layla Grannis and Isabella Jackson; great nephews, Isiah Meashintubby, Emmet Young, Joshua Pierce, and Chase Lautner; numerous aunts and uncles, special aunt Brenda Trejo; numerous cousins and friends, special cousin Claudine Watson; as well as numerous extended friends and family. Shirley is preceded in passing by her father, Norman Meashintubby Jr.; mother, MaryLou Meashintubby; brothers, Nathan Meashintubby and Norris Meashintubby; nephew, Mark (Marky) Meashintubby; great niece, Journey Balderas; maternal grandmother, Lena James Meashintubby; paternal grandmother, Reba Jones Meashintubby. Pallbearers are Richard Watson, Billy Eagleroad, Ryan James, Shawn James, Raul Medina, Robert James Honorary Pallbearers are Steven Ludlow, Derek Black, David Jones, Terry Jones, Caleb Pigeon, Kamron Meashintubby Visitation will be on Monday, April 1st 2024 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Services will be on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at 2:00PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Talihina with Deleesa Meashintubby officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery in Honobia, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
