Shirley Ann Keith

Shirley Ann Bradley Keith, lovingly known by many as "Granny Shirley," was born June 6, 1959, in Arlington, Texas, and passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026. She was a woman who lived life with a fierce spirit, a contagious laugh, and an unwavering love for the people she called family. Shirley was born and raised in Arlington, Texas, before eventually making her way to Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma, where she would raise her family and build a life filled with love, friendships, and countless memories. Shirley was a devoted mother and grandmother, but her love extended far beyond her own family. She worked at Buffalo Valley Schools, where she became a valued part of the community. Later in life, she continued her career with the Latimer County Sheriff's Department and Pittsburg County Jail. Shirley had many things she enjoyed in life, but one of her greatest hobbies was her love of plants and gardening. She was an avid plant lover and took great joy in caring for her plants and watching them grow. Gardening gave her a place to slow down, get her hands dirty, and enjoy something she truly loved. She also enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors and making memories along the way. Family was always at the center of Shirley's world. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and was one of their biggest supporters. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as Granny Shirley, a name that represented the love, laughter, and memories she shared with each of them. She especially loved attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. Shirley didn't simply sit quietly in the stands-she was invested in every play, every call, and every moment. She was known for making her feelings heard, including one unforgettable time when she climbed up the fence to yell at a game. That was Shirley-passionate, protective, and never afraid to speak her mind. Shirley had a fierce personality and was never afraid to step on a few toes when she believed something needed to be said. She was strong-willed, outspoken, and fiercely loyal. But beneath that fire was a heart full of love and a laugh that could light up a room. Her contagious laughter and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Shirley also loved her friends deeply. To her, friends weren't just friends-they were family. She treasured the friendships she made throughout her life, and her special friendships with Jana Knapp, Krissy Knight, Jan Lucas, and Kim Yauger held a particularly meaningful place in her heart. These friendships brought Shirley countless memories, laughter, and love throughout the years. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Bradley and Charles Bradley. She is survived by her brothers, Glenn Bradley and Dennis Bradley, both of Houston, Texas, and her half-sister, Billie Ebert. She leaves behind her loving children: Sheila Brinkley, partner Mario Addison, of Savannah, Georgia Alva Keith, wife Claudia Keith, of Krebs, Oklahoma Brian Keith, wife Lacey Keith, of Chickasha, Oklahoma Corey Keith, wife Analy Keith, of Savannah, Georgia Shirley was a proud grandmother to Karyssa Brinkley, Casey Mollohan, Kobe Brinkley, Ashlyn Addison, Kaleb Keith, Shekinah Keith, Jake Keith, Allie Keith, Kinsley Keith, Liam Keith, Whitley Keith, Presley Keith, and Kevin Garcia. She was also a beloved great-grandmother to Nolen Brinkley and Lilah Brinkley. Shirley's fierce spirit, contagious laugh, unwavering loyalty, love of family and friends, and the simple joys she found in plants, gardening, fishing, and spending time with the people she loved will never be forgotten. She leaves behind countless memories-some tender, some funny, and some that will undoubtedly be retold with a smile and a laugh for generations to come. She will be deeply missed, but her love and her memory will live on through the people she loved most. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:00PM to 1:30PM at Buffalo Valley Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Buffalo Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Bubba Knight officiating. Following the service, Shirley will be laid to rest at Sardis Cemetery.
