Felbert Richard James

Felbert Richard James, age 89 of Clayton, Oklahoma passed away from this life on December 24th, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his family. Felbert was born on October 9th, 1935 in Adel, Oklahoma to Trella Maebell (Satterfield) and Otha William James. Felbert married the love of his life, Peggy on June 10th, 1986 in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was a child of God, and avid follower of Jesus Christ. He was a member of and attended Lighthouse Cathedral in Clayton, Oklahoma for many years. He loved listening to music, singing to and about his God and studying his word. He passed his love of music to his children, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed being in his woodworking shop where he crafted many beautiful things for his friends and loved ones. Although he didn't like to touch fish, he spent many hours fishing and hunting with his friends and family, especially his boys. He loved talking about his hunting adventures. Felbert was a very special person and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Felbert is survived by his wife, Peggy of the home; children, Phyllis Takala of Norman, Jon Randall and wife Kelly of OKC, Matthew Randall and wife Felicia of Midwest City, Phill James of Stigler, Joshua James and wife Jenna of Buffalo Valley, Micah James and wife Kate of Sardis, and William James and wife Erica of Sardis; grandchildren, Israel Takala, Stevie Bailey, Jacob Randall, Hannah Randall, Joshua Randall, Gracie Randall, Jaxie James, Landon James, Nevaeh James, Daxton James, Asher James, Emryn James; one great grandchild, Ashlyn Takala; siblings, Roy James, and Fayrene Johnson; an especially close bond with his niece, Patricia Davis; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Felbert is preceded in passing by his parents; daughter, Debbie Bailey; sister, Betty Holsted. Pallbearers will be Jon Randall, Matthew Randall, Joshua James, Micah James, William James, Marvin Scarberry Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Spruell, Jack Austin, Ricky Davis and Phill James Graveside services will be on Monday, December 30th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sardis Community Building with Bro. Jack Austin officiating. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
