Barbara June White

Barbara June White, age 71 passed away at the OKC Heart Hospital on February 5th, 2022. Barbara was born on April 9th, 1950 in Wilburton, OK to Lena McGee and Henry Lloyd Reid. Barbara ran and operated Richards Body Shop in Talihina, Oklahoma with her husband for twenty years. She enjoyed music and singing, reading, going to the casino, playing cards, poker, driving back roads, watching birds, classic movies, growing flowers and spending time with family and friends. Barbara raised her children with love and determination to become independent and happy adults. She loved to be called mom, Barb, and sometimes Boobs by her sisters. She was loyal, humorous, kind, and intelligent. Her family will miss her chocolate gravy, chicken paprikash and hummingbird cake. Barbara is survived by her four children, daughter, Juanita Mahoney, granddaughters, Roya and Sara Ghassemy and grandson Ian Mahoney; one great granddaughter, Destiney Dawn Layla Keith; son and daughter in law, Darriel and Rose Groen and granddaughter Jenna Groen; son and daughter in law, Robert and Laizza Harkey, granddaughters, Adreana, Luna and Meli, grandsons Chayton and Audrick Harkey; daughter, Magan Cossey. Barbara is also survived by one brother, Duane Reid; four sisters, Linda Lister, Uvone Reid, Carol Weatherby and Tricia Jones as well as many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barbara is preceded in passing by her husband, Richard White; mother, Lena Holcomb; father, Henry Lloyd Reid; sister, Hazel Calvert; brother, Richard Reid; sister, Ilena Sutt; son in law, Sean Mahoney. Visitation will be on Friday, February 18th, 2022 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Roger Calvert, Steven Jones, Tom Carter, Duane Reid II, Fred Edwards, and Theadore Picotte. Services will be on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 10:00AM at the Bertram Bob Chapel at the Tuskahoma Capital grounds with Rev. Greg Bohanon officiating. Interment will follow at the Choctaw VA Cemetery at the Capital Grounds at Tuskahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service of Talihina, Oklahoma.
