Marsha Lynn Turner

Marsha Lynn (Wilson) Turner age 65 of Talihina, Oklahoma passed away from this life on June 29th, 2024. Marsha was born on September 4th, 1958 in Chatham, Illinois to Phyllis (Mellon) and Richard Wilson. Marsha was always outdoors...she felt cooped up being inside. Whether it was 110 degrees or 20 degrees outside, didn't really matter to her. Her love of animals began at a very early age when she acquired her first horse, which led to raising horses, showing horses and competing horseback. She is a very accomplished rider, showing on the Western Pleasure Circuit in her 30's and 40's. This led to competitive Trail Riding thru the ACTHA competitions in Texas. Thru the years, her horses she loved most were Chip, Max, Cowboy and Dakota. For all her equine accomplishments, Marsha may be known best for her love of Australian Shepherds. Having raised Aussies for more than 20 years, Marsha has blessed families across the US, and several countries in Europe, with some of the most adorable puppies imaginable. Some of her longest friendships have developed thru her puppy relationships. She was so proud of the quality and disposition of her puppies, relishing in the fact that several families have purchased 3, 4 even 5 dogs from her over the years. The "Texas Four" as she called them - Tex, Lacey, Tessie, and Levi - were her pride and joy. A hard worker, Marsha never let someone else do what she thought she could handle. Over the years, Marsha worked in the waste water industry, petroleum industry, veterinary clinic and commercial construction. She was the kind of employee everyone wanted - dependable, ethical, reliable. Marsha is survived by her husband, Stephen of the home; daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Turner of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Mark Wilson and wife Tammy of Stonington, IL; as well as many extended family and a host of friends. Marsha is preceded in passing by her parents, Richard and Phyllis Wilson and brother, Mitchell Wilson. A Celebration of Life service will be on Friday, July 26th, 2024 at 2:00PM at Whitesboro Baptist Church in Whitesboro, Oklahoma with Bro. Jeremy Minor officiating.
